WHILE NOTED DESIGN HISTORIAN, LORRAINE WILD, WAS ON SABBATICAL I HAD THE PRIVILEGE AND DAUNTING TASK OF FILLING HER SHOES FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THIS YEAR-LONG COURSE. THE CLASS ELABORATED ON LORRAINE’S SYLLABUS BEGINNING WITH “CONSUMERISM AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN IN THE U.S. DURING THE 1920’S” AND ENDING WITH THE LEGIBILITY WARS OF THE EARLY 90’S.
