THIS COURSE IS STRUCTURED AROUND HELEN ARMSTRONG'S BOOK, GRAPHIC DESIGN THEORY. IT SERVES AS THE BASIS FROM WHICH WE LOOK AT THE IDEAS AND MOTIVATIONS FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN — BOTH HISTORICALLY AND NOW — AS WRITTEN ABOUT BY GRAPHIC DESIGNERS THEMSELVES AS WELL AS BY OTHER DESIGN WRITERS. THE GOAL OF CLASS THROUGH READING, DISCUSSION, PRESENTATIONS AND WRITING IS TO BRING EACH STUDENT'S OWN IDEAS AND MOTIVATIONS TO MORE CONSCIOUS LIGHT.
